This department is open 24 hours a day. It comprises of three units as follows:

• X-ray.
• Ultrasound Colour Doppler]
• Mammography

X-ray

The department has two 500 MA X-ray machines one of which is equipped with an Image Intensifier and Fluoroscopy (IITV). Procedures that are done using the IITV machine are Barium Meal, Barium Swallow, Barium Enema, Hysterosalpingogram, Micturiting Cystourethrogram and T-Tube Cholangiogram. A portable machine is also available for taking x-rays in the wards.

The department also has a C-Arm X-ray device which is used in the Operating Theater.

Ultrasound Color Doppler.

The department has a Phillips Envisor Ultrasound Machine which is equipped with 5 transducers including a Pediatric Cardiac Probe for echocardiography. Echocardiograms and colour Doppler studies are also done on this machine. 

Mammography

A GE Mammography Machine, Model Senograph 700 has been installed which is being used for conducting mammograms on a regular basis.
