We are simply God’s servants, by whom you were

led  to  believe.  Each  one  of  us  does  the work

which  the Lord gave him to do I  sowed  the seed,

Apollos  watered  the  plant,  but  it  was God who

made the plant  grow. The one who sows  and  the

one who waters really do not matter. It is God who

matters, because he makes the plant grow.

HOSPITAL DAY CELEBRATION

This year we celebrate 111 years of the founding of our Hospital.  To make this a memorable occasion we are once again embarking on a fund raising campaign to raise funds for critical equipment in our Hospital and this year the focus is on a “Reverse Osmosis Plant” for providing pure water for our Dialysis in our Nephrology Department.

The celebrations culminate in a one day Fete on the 13th of November 2004 in the grounds of our Hospital, which will have 10 hours of fun, games and plenty of food items, craft items and more particularly a day of relaxation with your family.

“Please come and enjoy with us”.  Your contribution if any in the form of cheques or kind will be gratefully accepted and properly receipted.

YOUTH WORLD               - Rev. Suresh Pawar, Religious Works Department

What a friend we have in Jesus

Friendship is essential to every human being.  You read about a lot of friendships in the Bible.  One of the great examples of friendship illustrated in the Bible is about Jonathan and David.  David was a shepherd and Jonathan a Prince.  But they were great friends.  When we read about them we see the deep, abiding relationship they had as friends.  Firstly, they were one in spirit.  They loved each other and accepted each other.  They made a covenant to each other to remain steadfast friends. (1 Samuel 18:1-2).  Secondly, their friendship was built on loyalty and trust.  Thirdly, their friendship was “God- centered”.  They made God their binding force.  (1 Samuel 23:16-17).

We learn from this great story about friendship, a deep relationship, loyalty and God as a binding force.

Jesus called us to be His friends, so what kind of relationship is He asking? (John 15:14).  Let us learn to develop His friendship by studying the Bible, following His way and in prayer.  This will enable us to establish deep and abiding relationships.  Only when we cultivate these qualities in us can we see it reflected in others.  You were made by God for God and until you understand that, your life will never make sense.

Golden Verse For you:  Greater love has no one than this, that he lay down his life for his friends.

Question:  How is your Friendship with God and your neighbor?  Is it for name sake or just to pass the time or true?

Bible Reading:  John 15: 11-17
