DIRECTOR’S CHRISTMAS MESSAGE

Christmas is not a myth, not a tradition, it is not a dream. It is a glorious reality. It is a time of great joy. Bethlehem’s manger crib became the link that bound a lost world to a loving God. From that manger came a Man who not only taught us a way of life, but brought us into a new relationship with our creator. Christmas means God loves us so much He gave us the BEST GIFT, GIFT OF HIS OWN SON TO SAVE US  from sin and death. What can we give Him in return – like a rock do we have to be struck to give, like a sponge do we have to be squeezed to give or like a flower give freely – let us give Him

Our truth telling

Our honesty

Our hard work

Our commitment

Our obedience

Our heart and will

A Merry Christmas and a Prosperous New Year to you all.

YOUTH WORLD        - Rev. Suresh Pawar, Religious Works Department

 Caring and Sharing

The importance of sharing and caring is seen in the feeding of the five thousand which is the only miracle recorded in all four of the Gospels.  (Matt. 14:13-21, Mark 6:30-44, Luke 9:10-17 and John 6:1-14).

First, when we have something, even if it is a small portion, we must learn to share with others.  The Galilean lad had two loaves of bread and five fishes. When the disciples wondered how they were going to provide for the multitudes who had come to hear Jesus, this lad came forward  and gave it to the Lord.  He saw a need greater than his and he was willing to share what little he had with the multitude that was hungry.

In our day-to-day life many a time we see people in need of something. Most of us are selfish. We don’t  want to share anything with friends. (It is mine, from my home, my Church, etc.)  Even in studies we don’t like to share with others. We don’t want to help our fellow students who are weaker than us.  Every miracle in the Bible teaches us a lesson on caring and sharing.  We must learn from this.

Second lesson according to Mark’s Gospel is that the Lord took bread in his hand and he prayed to Heavenly Father and broke it and told His disciples to distribute it to the multitude. This symbolizes us. When we give ourselves to God He breaks our own plans, desires and will, and enables us to be used for His glory. He breaks our attitude and will, and use us as a blessing to many. As children of God we must love one another, share and care for each other.

Golden Verse for you: “Let each of you look out not only for his own interests, but also for the interest of others”      - Philippians 2:4

Question:  How often have you overlooked someone in need of your help?

Bible Reading: Philippians 2: 1-11; James 2: 1-13.
