1: Blessed is the man who
walks not in the counsel of the wicked, nor stands in the way of sinners, nor
sits in the seat of scoffers;
2: but his delight is in the law of the LORD, and on his law he meditates day
and night.
3: He is like a tree planted by streams of water, that yields its fruit in its
season, and its leaf does not wither. In all that he does, he prospers.
4: The wicked are not so, but are like chaff which the wind drives away.
5: Therefore the wicked will not stand in the judgment, nor sinners in the congregation
of the righteous;
6: for the LORD knows the way of the righteous, but the way of the wicked will
perish.
7: Only
be strong and very courageous, being careful to do according to all the law
which Moses my servant commanded you; turn not from it to the right hand or
to the left, that you may have good success wherever you go.
8: This book of the law shall not depart out of your mouth, but you shall meditate
on it day and night, that you may be careful to do according to all that is
written in it; for then you shall make your way prosperous, and then you shall
have good success.
14: In the
way of thy testimonies I delight as much as in all riches.
15: I will meditate on thy precepts, and fix my eyes on thy ways.
16: I will delight in thy statutes; I will not forget thy word.
7: "Blessed
is the man who trusts in the LORD, whose trust is the LORD.
8: He is like a tree planted by water, that sends out its roots by the stream,
and does not fear when heat comes, for its leaves remain green, and is not anxious
in the year of drought, for it does not cease to bear fruit."
